Amber Gillespie died yesterday. I'd never met her; maybe you hadn't, either. She was a dear friend to many in the Austin area breast cancer community, and she was diagnosed at age 26 with metastatic breast cancer, 30 when she died. What I knew about her was that she was funny, sharp, full of life and on a mission to educate people about metastatic breast cancer. Another friend on Facebook posted this video by Sam Baker, and I wanted to share it with you. "Let us hope by some good pleasure, safely to arrive at home." We hope angels guided you home safely, Amber Gillespie. You will be missed. Go in peace, Go in kindness, Go in love, Go in faith. Leave the day, the day behind us. Day is done, Go in grace. Let us go into the dark Not afraid Not alone. Let us hope by some good pleasure Safely to arrive at home.
