Craftsy Classes

I loved developing my Craftsy class, and as an instructor, I’ve taken other Craftsy classes as well. Here are the ones I love and recommend — some are in the garden category, some are not, but gardeners are often such creative people that I thought you all might enjoy these! I won’t ever recommend something I have not first tried — you have my word. I’ll add to this page as I take additional classes and I think they may be something you would enjoy.

Building a Raised Bed Garden — By Karen & Andy Chapman. Raised beds are provide perfect drainage for veggie and herb beds, and are a great solution if you have poor or rocky soil. My friend and colleague Karen teams up with her husband Andy for this great how-to, and their charming British accents will make you want to listen to them reading a grocery list.

Photographing Flowers — By Harold Davis. I love garden photography, and am always on the lookout for new tips for taking better images.

Freeform Crochet — By Myra Wood. This was actually the first Craftsy class I took — I’m not an expert crocheter (I have been knitting much longer) and Myra’s class reinforced some basic and fun stitches, as well as gave me a basis to crochet without a pattern. Super fun!
