Potted Gardens

Potted gardens are great options for decks, patios, balconies and terraces—for the homeowner with acreage to the small-space urban dweller. We use high quality pottery as well as custom rolled steel planters to create the perfect look for your space.

Desert Courtyard

The owners started out with a weedy, unkempt courtyard by their front entryway, and we turned it into a dry rock garden with a river rock bed, limestone boulders and a variety of Texas tough cacti and succulents.

Front Yard Oasis

This yard started out with a fairly typical—and nice—front yard landscape, but the owners wanted to kick it up a notch. We added a large rock-lined island bed and filled it with lush and colorful plantings, and locally quarried rocks. The next month, this garden received the “Yard of the Month” award from the neighborhood association.

New Orleans Balcony

This balcony was on the 3rd floor and subject to small space (150 square feet) and windy conditions. We turned it into an entertaining space for up to 6 people, fashioned after the famous New Orleans balconies and courtyards. Elegant furnishings, lush plantings, an alligator head fountain and romantic lighting pulled it all together.

Suburban Xeriscape

A large suburban backyard began life as a blank slate for these first-time homeowners. They asked for a beautiful but low-maintenance garden, interactive for their children with whimsical details. Ornamental grasses, flowering perennials and a footbridge over a dry creek bed provide the perfect play area for the couple’s two children—along with the elephant water feature that was added the following year!

Urban Courtyard

Near the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin is this contemporary condominium with a blazing hot courtyard. We had a number of existing surfaces to deal with while we created a entertaining area for our clients. We stained the concrete entryway, added a small curving deck with landscape lighting, brilliant blue pots with succulents and custom steel planters with ornamental grasses.
